Shared folder does not show up; no opition to look for shared libraries in preferences

Very disappointed, home sharing not working! I have three computers at home and would like to share my music with all three. Whats the deal?

Same here. Why is this so difficult? We can see all other shared folders, etc between these two computers, and both have Home Sharing enabled but say no users are connected. Neither one has "shared" in the left column (it appears when you go through advanced menu and enable Home Sharing, but disappears as soon as you hit "done"), and neither one has "look for shared libraries" as an option to enable in preferences.

For me, it only seems to work if I have iTunes running on the "host" computer -- in my case, my desktop. Then on my laptop -- with both systems with Home Share logged in (both computers activated, etc), then I see the Shared Libraries. but what I want to know is why I can't see the SHARED libraries if I don't have iTunes running. Kind of seems silly if I have to have iTunes actually running on both computers to see the share. Anyone else see this issue?
