I have an account but i cant sign on or do much of anything because Itunes keeps timing out. helpÉ

i keep trying to sign into itunes, or search for something, or create a new account, but it keeps saying it times out and cant complete this action. it worked before i got my laptop fixed, so why not now? anyone have any ideas??
