I have tried in excess of 20 times to redeem my gift card.....Come on APPLE!!!!

It's Christmas, it's probably getting a lot of traffic with gift cards being redeemed and people purchasing stuff. I have a few gift cards to redeem myself but I'll probably wait until later tonight or just sometime this week after the traffic slows.

It seems this way in France! I am unable to log into itunes store or view a rented movie on my AppleTV.

Not good. I paid for the movie and I am now spending time figuring out what is going on with the Apple server.

It appears to be down for me in Hungary as well 😟

Im having the same problem! I gave and iPad to grandpa and we can't use it! 😠

Seeing the same frustrating problem here, and with different devices (MacBook, AppleTV, iPhone). Earlier today, renting a movie from the AppleTV, the download speed was unusually low. Now, my rented movies are no longer available in the AppleTV, and I cannot access my iTunes account from my MacBook or iPhone either.

It really looks like this Christmas' workload was just far too much for the iTunes Store's infrastructure.

This is so frustrating...

It's not working at all here. Tried to redeem an itunes card and it said the connection timed out.

I am very disappointed in Apple right now!! My kids received gift cards for Christmas which are completely useless at the moment. I have tried many times to redeem the codes to no avail. I cannot even download any games for them because The App Store will not complete a transaction without timing out. I find it very irresponsible that Apple did not take the necessary steps to ensure their customers could redeem gift cards and make purchases on Christmas Day.

There is obviously the same problem when trying to connect from Germany.

I woild expect Apple to make a general announcement on their web side.

i have not been able to get on since the 26th. is anyone else still stuck? it keeps asking me to set up payemtn method. but when i do. it says can not complete at this time try later. im trying for 3 days!! annoying.. and i have 10.00 in my account still can't download any apps..

The iTunes store has been back online for a couple of days here in France. I had signed out of everything to clear any sort of cache. I could sign in from the iphone and Mac but not from Apple tv. I had to switch from Ethernet to wifi to may it connect. Now everything is back to normal.
