With iCal open from the top left of the window click on Calendars and Control+Click or right click on the calendar you want to remove the background colour from and select 'Get info'. From there click on the colour swatch and from the drop down menu select 'Other' and from the colour palette that appears click on one of the white swatches at the bottom. That should set the background colour to white.

Hi Paul

Backround on events

- thank you very much for your reply

- I think I did as you suggested .

- I can change the pallet colors,

but even though , the pallet color shows white, it still prints in blue

( unless in the print section , I set it to black and white, then the

highlight comes out in a grey )

- did you try it yourself ?

thanks again Karl

Mmm, I see what you mean.

The only way I've been able to print a black & white version without the colour panels is to (in the print dialogue box) choose List from the View drop down list, and from the Time range section select a start date and then select how many days you want to have on the list. Bit of a a palava but it might give you what you want.

Hi Paul

- thanks your help

- I am making progress

- first I did as per your first suggestion

that gives me a white color palate for " my calender " say I call it " Jan '12 "

-

- then I move the cursor / mouse to the " dot" on the left of the event and double click,

so I get the " edit " box

- in the center of the drop box , it reads " calendar " a colored box , and " home"

- change the name of the calender ( using the arraows) to say " Jan 12"

and the backround for this event changes to white

- so far it works one event at a time

- there has to be a way to change all the events of the month at one time

- mabe you know how ?

thanks again Karl
