iCloud log-in problems
iCloud tries to log in to an old apple id and will not recognise my current id and password, how do I cancel the old id?

According to your signature you are running 10.6.8 - you cannot run iCloud on that: are you in fact running Lion?
If so, go to System Preferences>iCloud and click 'Sign out'. Close the prefs, re-open and sign in with the correct ID.

Thanks Roger, that seems to work. I have upgraded to Lion, now to try to update my 'Products'.
Roger, another question. How do I change my screen name while keeping the Apple id username and password?
If by 'screen name' you mean the name which appears in these forums, you can't, other than by creating a new ASC login. Since you have no points you have nothing to lose by doing this.
