i forgot my ipad passcode

unfourtantely you cannot reset password nor can Apple give a default password

here are the steps to go around the password issue:

*If you have not previously backed up your iPad you will lose everything, and no unfourtantely you cannot back up once iPad is locked will require the password once it is detected in iTunes

1.plug in your iPad to your pc

2. press and hold the home button and the sleep/wake/power button at the same time for 45 seconds until an Apple logo appears, once that appears you can release the buttons

3. iTunes will give message iTunes has detected an iPad in recivery mode you must restore this iPad to continue

4. hit restore if it does not go through click on the iPad in the left hand side of iTunes and click restore

5. restore iPad and now you'll start new and have your iPad back

From iTunes, select the iPad and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad.
