Oct 19, 2012 12:47 PM in response to diveactiveby Switch900,Try to buy verbatim MKM
Verbatim DVDR/RW uses MKM/Verbatim's technology which ensures any recording to be of a superior quality. Mitsubishi Chemical's R&D combined with its strong coorperation with drive.

Apr 2, 2016 8:02 AM in response to Switch900by iciconnect,What if it use to read the previous media and doesn't anymore?
My 2009 27" iMac will not read DVD's or CD's it previously burned. Grant scratches may cause problems for most any DVD/CD drive. But that's not what's happening with my machine. The Media is perfect, flawless even (no scratches or marks). It sees some as blank media when they aren't and others it ejects. My Window's PC doesn't have this problem and sees the data just fine. I've tried 2 different lens cleaning products in the iMac several times with no success. But it does write to anything given that's supported for burning. It's currently running El Capitan. Buying new blank media will solve nothing for the old media I'm trying to access. Why must I buy an external media device to do what the internal device use to do? Why is it now with El Capitan and even while using Yosemite the Superdrive can no longer understand or see the data on the very same disc it burned? I have zero understanding of this.. And none of the previous updates for the superdrive work for this model or OS.
