Macbook pro

do you want the application Java to accept incoming network connections?

clicking deny may limit the application's behavior.

This setting can be changed in the firewall pane of security preferences

deny allow

That is a pop up that comes and goes quickly. It does not stay on the screen long enough for me to

click on the "allow"

I wish to allow the incoming network connection.

I am unable to figure out how to change the setting in the firewall pane

of the security preference.

I am new to the mac, but so far so good!

Thanks for any help

http://techblog.willshouse.com/2012/10/17/how-to-allow-java-in-the-firewall-on-o s-x-mountain-lion/

Everything you need do is in there. If you will not be able to find "java" in folder which is written in the link, you must first install java from the internet and then try it again! 🙂

I hope i helped you a little bit.

sorry for my english.

that worked. thank you.

I was getting the flashing message but Java was not appearing as a connection to accept in the firewall pane of security preferences.

the link you supplied fixed that and the flashing-message problem seems now to have gone away.

(it started flashing after installing the most recent mountain lion update to 10.8.3)

thanks again.
