Any Employee Discount Referrals like Sprint?

I know Sprint has an employee referral discount plan that would knock $10 off an iphone plan. Do ATT or Verizon have anything similar for the iphone? I know the carriers have discounts if you work for certain companies but Im currently on disability so I cannot qualify for those. I know Sprint has the Everything Plus Referral Program (formerly SERO) which can knock off $10. I wanted to go with Sprint because it is the cheapest - the only one with unlimited data and texts included for only $70...but Im so scared of the Sprint data network because of all the things Im reading on line. Im having tons of problems with my Tmobile Android phone not working and the last thing I want is to trade one headache for another. If I had an ATT discount (or Vrz), that matched the Sprint discount, Id feel a lot more comfortable trying the iphone.

So if anyone out there can help, Im all ears. Thanks

As my post stated, Im on disabilty currently and not working so I dont qualify for any employer discount beause I dont have an employer. Sprint has an employee referral program. You provide them with the email address and employee ID of a Sprint employee and you qualify for a special plan and discount that is not available to the general public. I was wondering if ATT or Verizon had similar programs. Ive found the Sprint program discussed on many websites but havent found anything on ATT or VRZ. Financially, the Sprint deal is the best but I am concerned about a lot of reports of poor data network performance that makes the iphone unusable...but I also dont want to be paying per text if I dont have to or worry about data overages which would prevent me from truly using the smartphone.

Well they dont tell you. Thats the point. They dont want everyone to know about discounts because everyone would use the discounted program and not pay the full retail. I know about Sprint because its posted all over the web. I know other companies have discounts like you said with certain employers because I see people bragging all the time of saving 20% or more...but not being employed, I need the discount even more if I am to get the phone -otherwise the android prepaids are much less expensive.

I just was hoping that some ATT or VRZ employee would see this and if they did have that type of program Sprint has, theyd share it.

Im just scared of Sprint because of all the negative reviews. I cant believe Apple would have approved the iphone on a carrier that is obviously having massive data network problems based on all the complaints Ive been reading on Sprint Forums.

My experience with Verizon has been that they will tell you what discounts are available if you ask. And I already told you Verizon doesn't have a program like the one you're describing at Sprint. I've had few dealings with AT&T but they are considered a reputable business. If, however, AT&T doesn't allow anyone to tell you about discounts, it seems unlikely that an AT&T employee would risk their job to tell you, a stranger, anything here.

Keep in mind that the people most likely to post on any product or service support forum are those that are having trouble. People who aren't having problems aren't generally going to be spending their time posting "I love Sprint! Bye now!"
