Have Macbook pro and iPad 1 receiving streaming internet shows. Can I wireless to Samsung TV via HDMI connected Apple TV( 2nd gen). these non Apple TV movies/tv shows.

You can send any video from the mac providing its in iTunes and in the correct format, you can't stream from a website.
You can send any video from the iPad providing its in an AirPlay enabled app (i.e. Video app) and in a compatible format, you can also send video from an AirPlay enabled website.
