Useable Space on a 16 GB iPhone 4S

How much space do you get on a 16 GB iPhone 4S? I currently get only 6.22 GB on my 8GB iPhone 3GS. That is 1.78 GB to Apple for iOS5.

the ratio is about the same on the 16gb 4s. i have an iphone 4 16gb and it was a little over 14gb. ipod touch 32gb, same thing. not a 4s but there is a pattern.

iOS 5 Takes about 2GB or Just over and iOS 4 Takes about 2GB. I have a 16GB iPhone 4 and My Capacity is 13.7GB, so the 16GB iPhone 4S would be the same. As iinami said there is a pattern, and also as apple say on the packaging or product info the Formatted Capacity may/will be less. 🙂
