Safari keeps blocking downloads to my ipad 2, especially google crome!

Expanding on what Niel said, there is no version of Google Chrome for iOS. Nor can you download any software for your iPad except through the App Store.
As to your printer, tell us your printer model and perhaps someone can offer advice.

Thanks for your help, my printer is a kodak hero 5.1, I was told in store it would print anything off an ipad2!!!!
I can now print from my gmail account and picflick, but when I try to print off the internet it says 'no airprint printer found'.

You can, provided your printer is AirPrint compatible.
Your Kodak is not AirPrint compatible unless they've released an update very recently, something which I've not seen mentioned by Kodak. So printing will only be available through Kodak's apps unless you route the printing through your computer. If this is of interest, tell us what operating system your computer runs and someone can provide instructions.
