iTunes Match refund warning

I subscribed to the Match service, and basically, it didn't work. Kept getting a (-50) error from the store everytime it tried to do Step 1.

I contacted support via email and after a bit of discussion, they said that they couldn't fix it and a refund was the only option. So I asked for the refund.

They then sent me an email saying that the refund was on its way and that I would not be able to subscribe to the Match service for 1 year. They never informed me of this, and it's not in the T&C's.

Now I have a right royal battle to ensure that this restriction is removed, because if Apple update the service at any time during the next year and this update potentially fixes my problem, I am locked out of using it until the end of 2012.

If they had informed me of this "policy" when they offered me a refund, I would have said no.

Really bad service. The worst I think I've ever had. And I'm a Telstra customer.

So beware - if your Match service is not working properly, and you ask for a refund, you will be put in the naughty corner for a whole year.
