The disk cannot be partitioned because some files cannot be moved. What do I do exactly?

I have Lion, and want to install windows 7.

MacBook Pro, iOS 5.0.1

Get http://www.virtualbox.org/

Or clone backup your system twice using one of the tools here*:

And when you are done, I can ask a moderator to move your thread to the Boot Camp forum.

Virtualbox does virtualization of WIndows without having to partition your drive. Its only weakness is some GPU based software may run slower than Boot Camp.

You can't boot from Time Machine. You must make a clone with CCC or SuperDuper as Allan Eckert advised. When doing this you format the external hdd as Mac OS Extended (journaled) with GUID partition map. Then the clone (which is an identical twin of the original) is booted and back cloned to the original after erasing it. I suggest googling HDD clone for an education on this concept.
