airplay mirroring from ipad 1 via apple tv

Hi

I am having trouble loading safari and some apps via airplay streaming. It works perfectly on anything via itunes, you tube.

I have an IPad 1 via the IOS 5 system upgraded and a brand new version 2 apple tv.

Please help if you can.

Thanks

iPad, iOS 5.0.1, apple tv version 2

I have the iPad 1, 64 Gb WiFi and 3G. Is it the iPad firmware or hardware? Since I now have iPhones 4s (2 of them) and just ordered new AppleTV, am I screwed on the iPad for mirroring? I hadn't even considered aTV3 before since I wanted all my hardware at 1080.

Thanks Apple. BTW: If you look CAREFULLY at AirPlay on the Apple site, the disclaimer is about 1-point font faint footnote where it becomes apparent. No where else on the multitude of pages about AppleTV and Airplay I spent hours reading.

I don't know and it doesn't matter. The original iPad does not support mirroring. Period.

The following is a C&P from here.

Before performing any AirPlay Mirroring troubleshooting, make sure that AirPlay Mirroring minimum requirements are met:

  • An iPhone 4S or iPad 2 (with iOS 5 or later)
  • An Apple TV (2nd generation) running software version 4.4 or later
  • A wireless network; optionally, a wired connection (via an Apple Digital AV Adapter or VGA Adapter) can be used. For more information about the Apple Digital AV Adapter or VGA Adapter, please see this article.
