Using and cleaning iPad

It’s important to find a comfortable posture when using iPad, and to take frequent breaks. Useyour lap, or a table, case, or dock accessory, to support iPad during use.

Handle iPad with care, to maintain its appearance. If you’re concerned about scratching orabrasion of the screen, you can use a case or a cover, sold separately.

To clean iPad, unplug all cables and turn off iPad (press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until thered slider appears, then slide the onscreen slider). Use a soft, slightly damp, lint-free cloth. Avoidgetting moisture in openings. Don’t use window cleaners, household cleaners, aerosol sprays, solvents, alcohol, ammonia, or abrasives to clean iPad. The iPad screen has an oleophobic coating;simply wipe the screen with a soft, lint-free cloth to remove oil left by your hands. The ability ofthis coating to repel oil will diminish over time with normal usage, and rubbing the screen with anabrasive material will further diminish its effect and may scratch your screen.

I wouldn't use any liquids when cleaning your iPad 2 screen. The liquid will not hurt your screen but it increases the likely hood of accidently getting water in areas that could possibly become damaged. Apple recommends that you do not use any liquid when cleaning the screen.

The best thing to use is a microfiber cleaning cloth. The best one I have found is by Pristine Screens and the one I use is the Pristine Travel Clean Cloth. It works great with my smart cover and is very high quality, I went through 4 other cloths before this one and this one is the highest quality and lives up to all of the hype on it! They have a website but I just bought mine on amazon see below. Hope this helps! :-)
