FCP 7 crashing on launch

I just installed a new drive and put OS 10.6.8 on it. I then added a local admin account. Then I installed Final Cut Pro (version 7). The app crashes while initializing. deleting prefs etc doesn't help. Repaired permissions, Ran Applejack. Still crashes.

Machine is a dual 2.66 with 4 Gig of RAM. FCP7 booted once after it was loaded, when I was entering in the registration info. Now it crashes every time. Any suggestions?

I clean installed Snow Leopard, and loaded FCS from the DVD's. Crashes on launch. I decided to upgrade to Lion to have a newer OS to work from. Same deal. Crash on launch. So I copied oiut some console log data:

By clean install, you mean there is NOTHING on the disk other than the OS?

Here's the way I do a clean install -

- erase the drive

- install the OS

- run updates on the OS until there are no more

- repair permissions using Disk Utility

- Insert the FCS disk

- Run FCS installer

- repailr permissions using Disk Utility

- Run Software updater until there are no more updates

- repair permissions

Be sure ....

1. DO NOT change the default installation settings for either OSX or FCS

2. If you have issues running the software, remove all external connections leaving only the keyboard. mouse and monitor.
