iTunes downloaded different tracks from the same album onto two different iTunes albums; I can't find a way to merge the two iTunes albums into one. I don't understand why it created two albums. Any suggestions?

Highlight all the tracks from the album. Get Info on the tracks, then enter a single album name into the album field. This is assuming they don't already have the same name, in which case there's a host of other reasons for iTunes to split up the tracks (e.g., two different artist on the same album). In iTunes select all the songs you believe should be in the same album and then use File menu -> Get Info to update the track info so that they have the same Artist and Album info. You may also just need to make them a Compilation.
