I am experiencing a problem when pages are downloaded to Safari.  This just started happening and I'm not aware of any changes I've made that would cause this.

Not all of my pictures are showing up, I get these little ? marks like below:

Sometimes a refresh will bring the pics and sometimes it won't.

Does anyone know what would cause this.

First, disable the Lion "Resume" feature ....

    Open System Preferences > General

Deselect:   Restore windows when quitting and re-opening apps

Quit then relaunch Safari. From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Appearance tab.

Make sure:  Display images when the page opens is selected.

Now go back to the menu bar click Safari > Empty Cache.

Restart your Mac, try Safari. If Safari still doesn't load images, back to the menu bar click Safari > Reset Safari.

Select the top 5 boxes, click Reset.

    See if that helped.

Thank you.  It's working okay, sort of . . .

Everything was set correctly according to your directions.  I noticed, however, that they are only appearing when I double-click a link from within my mail application.  When the browser opens, then the "?" boxes appear, not on all the pictures just on some.

Could speed be an issue?  I just lowered my internet speed.

Thank you again for taking time to answer this situation.

I had the same problem – images and graphics suddenly disappeared from my browser. By following the 2nd part of solution recommended by Carolyn, the problem has gone away.

    Many thanks.

Someone else suggested ADOBE was the problem.

I did download the latest version and the pictures came back immediately.
