My built-in webcam is not working. Macbook not recognizing it?

Ive had no problems with my built in webcam before but for some reason today and yesterday my Built in Macbook camera is not showing.. No Green light and no camera? Skype, photobooth, Imovie, online sites, Ichat, Nothing Works with my camera, it says No camera Connected? Please help. Macbook 10.5.8 Version.

HI,


Go to the Apple icon menu and hold the ALT key down whilst doing so.

Select System Profiler (it changes when and if you hold the ALT key down)


IN the System Profiler open up the Hardware > USB option

Does this list the camera ?


If not then do a SMC/PMU reset (the model Specific bits are at the bottom)


If it does appear then Log in a different Mac User Account (You may need to create one in System Preferences > Accounts)

Do those same Apps "see" the camera now ?
