What do I need to connect my macbook air (11 inch) to my HDTV, to show movies downloaded from itunes? PC has HDMI port, macbook air does not. Is there an adaptor? Using usb or thunder....?

You can buy a mini-displayport to HDMI adaptor. There are plenty to choose from on Amazon. I just recently purchased this: http://www.amazon.com/moshi-MiniDisplay-Port-Adapter-Audio/dp/B003XCVQ3C/ref=sr_ 1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1325362319&sr=8-1 and can say it works great. It's probably the best one out there but its a little pricey. I'm sure you can find one that's cheaper and does just as good of a job.
You plug the above adapter into the Thunderbolt port.

I dont believe that you can connect "mini-displayport" connector to thunderbolt port.
The current thunderbolt to HDMI works as claimed. Yes, as already stated that's the only option you have when using a MacBook Air. What are you referring to v1cky? ...your post is in the wrong section!

You absolutely can use that adapter with your 11" MacBook Air. You'd just need the HDMI cable to go from the adapter to the TV.
