Does apple recommend a screen protector
I was wondering if there is any recommendation for a screen protector, and is it a worthwhile investment?
iPad 2, iOS 5.0.1

Your choice. I don't use any, but my brother does.
In many cases they are over-priced, so if you make the leap, shop around 🙂
I have one. I'd started out with the expensive Zagg one, but it didn't install right, so I replaced it with a cheapie. I kinda have hte opinion that it can't hurt and it would suck to damage the touch screen on such an expensive device.
Screen protectors are invaluable. If you spend as much money as you spend on your apple devices should you invest a little bit more to ensure they stay scratch/scuff/damage-free for the life of product?
Screen protectors may be hard to learn how to put on but once you discover all the tricks and develop a steady hand you can easily apply one in a few minutes and it will completely blend in. Depending how rough you are with your devices will go hand in hand with how long a screen protector will last.
Lastly, you can get matte, or anti-fingerprint screen protectors that actually take the edge off fingerprints. I never will use an iPhone/iPod/iPad without one.
