VPN server is not visible outside of the router

Question

VPN server is not visible outside of the router

I have Lion server 10.7.2 running VPN fine inside my network. I have it set to a static IP from my router (Airport Extreme Gigabit Base), and the router port forwarding is set correctly.

I can't log into the VPN server from outsid emy router. Inside works fine. I have a free dns account set up at afraid.org, and I can ping my router fine from outside.

Any ideas? Error messag says the server is not responding.

Open the port on the Router's Firewall to allow VPN packets to pass through.

I was thinking that the port forwarding (which is enabled) did just that. Am I wrong?
