Can I change defalt langauge on the iBook store?

I live in Spain but speak English and Catalan. I DO NOT want books in Spanish, but that is all the iBook store offers me. If I want a book in English or Catalan, I have to go search for it. Why can't the preferred language simply be an option? I have the same problem with iTunes store, it wants to peddle me a bunch of Spanish stuff I don't want. Come on, Apple, you're supposed to be good at this sort of stuff!!!! This stinks of Microsoft!
