Is the price for an app a one time fee or is it a monthly fee?
I am new to using my ipod and I have several free apps but I am not sure how the ones with a price work.

When purchasing a app from the App Store the fee you pay is only a one-time fee although few apps do have a monthly fee (Mostly News apps) but they will notifiy you via the app that it charges a monthy fee then will ask for your permission and password. But note that only very few apps actually charge a monthly fee.
