I was also completely perplexed by the fact that my Calendar on my iPad was in Welsh. I changed the Time zones and tried everything I could think of without success. When I came across this email thread, it gave me hope but initially I came up against a proverbial brick wall as Settings>General>International>Language seemed to indicate that I was set up for United Kingdom. It was purely by chance and out of frustration that I opened the setting anyway to find that my iPad was set on "United Kingdom, Welsh" and there was another "United Kingdom" setting which is obviously for us non Welsh punters! I don't know why the current setting does not show up as "United Kingdom, Welsh" which would be the most logical thing to do and would alert anyone looking at their settings to the fact that they were on a Welsh setting and would automatically make them search for the generic or non Welsh settings options.

Hope this helps to clarify matters for anyone else who is befuddled by the peculiar lack of info which shows up on the Settings for Language.

Over the 4 weeks that I struggled with this problem anyway, I am pleased to say that I now know the Welsh words for the days and months of the year! :-)
