My carrrier here in the UAE has offered me for a "fix" and I dont know if that will work. One of my coleagues bought a 16GB black 4S from Carrefour, Marina Mall, Abu Dhabi and i got to finally compare an apple to apple. His is perfect: bluish white, crisp and fresh looking.Compared to his, mine looks like someone has p**d on it.

I'm planning to send the operator, pics of both mine and my friend's and get in writing, assurance from them that post repair, they will achieve the same screen tint as that of my friend's. Sill,I am in a dilemma.

Kindly once you have a resolution if you can update me please & is your carrier Du. Am suffering with Du.

My latest update as of today i was at axiom is that all black phones with serial number C38/39 have the yellowish tint & bad battery life compared to other phone's like my wife's which serial starts with d or a number not C.

now to my luck while i was arguing with them since they insist that white & iphone 4 are different:P a guy walked in with black 4S from etisalat & he had a perfect screen. Checking his serial number it was a D & then all of them could not say another word.

After talking with managers & bla bla what i got is that this batch is all like this & they got me another new one & it had the same issue so their solution for now is to wait for new stock to come & then we can see what we can do.

Wish me luck & i hope by then Apple would action this.

I ordered a black iphone 4S 64 GB online with AT&T on 12-26-11 (late P.M.).

They shipped it the next day (12-27-11) overnight (FedEX) to be received before 3:00 P.M. the following day.. I didn't request overnight & I didn't pay anything extra for overnight.

FedEx actually delivered it at 3:20 P.M. but noted their delivery was made at exactly 3:00 P.M.

No wonder their records reflect they are always on time. It is because even when they are late, they claim they delivered it on time.

However, I did not complain to anyone about the 20 minutes discrepancy by FedEx - since AT&T had been so gracious to ship it overnight.

The Serial No. of my Black iPhone 4S 64GB starts with DNP.

Their is absolutely NO yellowish tint to the screen even with the default Wallpaper it came with.

I love the look of my screen.

I noticed in the Retail AT&T store near me that the 3 iPhone 4Ss they had on display (1 white & 2 blacks) all had a more blue wallpaper & that seemed to help the contrast. So, I switched my wallpaper to that one & the contrast on the screen is even better. Went from great to fantastic!

I was in the Retail AT&T store near me just an hour ago & looked again at the 3 iPhone 4Ss on display.

1 black had the same wallpaper it always had. 1 White had a wallpaper with some faces in it that I just did not like. And the 2nd black one had a yellowish wallpaper (Yes, that is an option!) I would never use that wallpaper, but I must say even with the yellowish wallpaper, the screen still did not have a yellowish screen.

Point of all of this is that those of you who do have a yellowish screen should try changing the wallpaper to a more blue one. Not sure if that will work on an iPhone 4S that does already have a yellowish screen, but it made my non-yellowish screen look even better.
