Woke up this morning and my IPOD Touch had a blank screen It won't shut down, can't do anything with it tried reset holding power button and home button to no available - HELP!

Hi brigittesg. My Son was playing with his ipod earlier and it has done the exact same thing.I can't shut down or turn off, and it feels like it is getting hotter.It has been like this for an hour now =/
- Connectthe iPod to your computer and try to restore.
- If iTunes does not see the iPod, see if placing the iPod in recovery mode will allow a restore.. For recovery mode.
