iPad and iPhone

I have a MacBook Pro running 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard) which can't be upgraded to Lion, an iPhone 1 running iOS 3.1.3 which can't be upgraded, and an iPad running 4.3.5.

The carrier for the iPhone is T-Mobile.

I'd like to upgrade the iPad to iOS 5. Is this possible with the iPhone at 3.1.3 and the MacBook Pro on Snow Leopard?

Thank you.

As long as you download and install iTunes 10.5 on the MacBook - you can upgrade the iPad to iOS 5 - with the Mac running SL 10.6.8. That is what I was running on my old MacBook (got a new one for Xmas) when I updated my iPad to iOS 5.

The phone has nothing to do with updating the iPad.
