Im unable to upgrade Quicktime from 7 to Pro.

I have purchased the registraion key but the instrucions are not correct. Going to System Pref does not give me and Quicktime icon and when trying to enter the registration key in the program I get an error message: invalid code.

The name and key need to be entered exactly as specified in the email, including spacing and capitalization, and a Windows key won't work.

Thanks Niel for a quick reply.

I have both typed the name and key as well as copied it but no luck. Does not upgrade. I also tried removing the Quicktime player but not possible. I selected the Mac tab for the Pro, not Windows.

I have Pro 7 on my computer but the icon does not show under applications. I have tried to download a new copy but it does not allow becaue another version is already on the computer.

You cannot take QuickTime Player X to "Pro". You'll need the special version of QuickTime Player 7 for Snow Leopard and Lion, if you don't have that already. If QuickTime Player 7 didn't get moved to the Utilities folder automatically, you can install it separately. See:

Instructions on how to register your QuickTime Pro key can be found in that same document.

Regards.
