View Multiple Safari Windows

I work with multiple Safari Windows (with multiple tabs) open at the same time. Prior to Lion I used to be able to view all my open Safari windoews by hitting the F3 key. I could then select the appropriate window and switch to working in that area. With Lion, when I hit F3 I simply see all the open Safari windows stacked up one behind the other. This is fine if I only have 2 - 3 active Safai windows, but with any more than this it becomes nearly impossible to view them so that I can rapidly switch windows. The drop down box from the Window menu item is some help but not nearly as good as the older visual system available before Lion.

Is there a way to view all open Safari windows in their entirety or is this just one of the (many) backward steps taken by the Lion programers?

OK, I think I got it. Swipe UP with 4 fingers to see all the windows stacked, swipe DOWN with 4 fingers to have them all come up next to each other. Sheesh! This trackpad is amazing but also complicated.

Hi margefromer, thanks for looking at this and yes, you've nailed it! Initially yoiur solution didn't work, so I had to go to System Preferences, Trackpad, More Gestures, and enable App Expose before it would work. Thank you so much as this has continued to be a real bug-bear for me. With Mountain Lion only a month away, I wonder what they'll do with it this time? Hopefully it wont take me nearly a year to find out

You are welcome, lincris. And thank you, too! I was originally on this forum trying to answer that very question. I'm very new to mac and bought it in part of what I was shown the trackpad could do. I knew there had to be some way to see all your open web pages, but couldn't figure it out. The trackpad is amazing, but takes some learning. And, yes, the default settings don't have all the features turned on. I actually figured it out by accident by just swiping a bunch of different ways. Your post helped me to take the time to really learn what I was doing.
