I used to search on wikipedia and do some stuff on the widgets by the dashboard, reading something from a document, but now I need to change from the main screen to the dashboard screen, back and return every time. There's an option to use it on the transparent form again?
Apple menu > System Preferences > Mission Control > Show Dashboard as a space: uncheck.
I have just tried what you said to make DashBoard Transparent
It does not work showing Dashboard as a space: uncheck
I found out that it`s works great when you make it as an Overlay.
I have just tested it while writing this post out.
It may due to the fact that I am using OS X Yosemite 10.10.4
