I receive the error message, Moved: http://me.com/move in Apple Mail when trying to receive new email. I can't seem to receive new email. When I go to the account settings, the incoming mail server is greyed out and connot be changed. Please advise.
That's not an error message, it's a URL for the MobileMe login page. It refers to moving your account to iCloud, which is explained here: https://support.apple.com/kb/HT4918
I'm getting the same message. In Apple Mail on my MAC. I get an ALERT: "There may be a problem with the mail server network. Verify the settings for account #####@me.com or try again. The server returned the error: Moved: http://me.com/move"
I read the link you provided but that doesn't really explain how to continue getting mobile me mail addresses.
Has anyone figured out how to fix this problem yet? I've had the same issue for a week now and can't fix it.
I have the same problem. All of my other devices receive emails fine - ipad and iphone. My Macbook Pro does not. My email account has been moved to icloud. I have no idea what to do next.
i've looked into this, and I believe you have to upgrade to Lion or consider accessing mail through Safari and icloud.com.
you have to upgrade to Lion (10.7+) because ".mac and .me" email address that have been moved to icloud are no longer compatible with any OS below 10.7. They designed iCloud that way.
This is the same with the calenders syncing, have to get Lion.
If you use Mail with another email client like gmail, yahoo, etc.... you can use the program.

What was missing before is the updated incoming and outgoing servers.
You will have to delete your mobile me account, then create a new one without using the default wizard.

Have the same problem on my Snow Leopard laptop. My Lion Server is also stuck. Accounts were migrated to iCloud but this morning all of the iCloud accounts are down everywhere but the iPad.
Looks like IMAP and SMTP no longer work... What's that about?
Is Apple migrating SSL certs or something?
