sounds oscillate on Logic 8 and Mainstage

All keys, when pressed, are not clean sounds - but it sounds like it is oscillating. I've disabled the local control on my Yamaha Motif 8. Am using Logic Pro 8 and Main Stage 1.0.2 and a MacBook Pro. Thanks for your help.
