I need to run a Lasershot LBP-1120 on my Mac. Is this possible?

I understand that this printer is a WinPrinter (although I'm not too sure what that means). I've tried to find drivers on the Canon website but with no luck and there seems to be no alternative. I've also tried running drivers of printers that are newer and older and they haven't worked either. Does anyone have any ideas? A friend of mine mentioned attaching a print server(?) to the printer and running it through that, but I thought the computer would still need a driver.
