Jan 4, 2012 12:49 PM in response to Mark at the space needleby QuickTimeKirk,iWeb can't import or open your "published" pages.
It will only recognize the Domain.sites or Domain.sites2 special "package" folder that is stored in the User account/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder.

Dec 28, 2014 7:34 AM in response to QuickTimeKirkby ShabaniRR,So isn't there a way to get iWeb to open a page that was built with it. I crashed my computer, had to reload iWeb from the original software and am trying to get access to the website which was backed up in order to edit it. Isn't there some way to get it to recognize it. Any help appreciated. Thanks

Dec 28, 2014 9:49 AM in response to ShabaniRRby Old Toad,You need to migrate to a modern, supported webpage development application and leave iWeb behind. It hasn't been supported for 2 years now and was behind the curve feature wise when it was dropped by Apple.
One app that many have migrated to because it is very similar to iWeb in the GUI and features is Everweb. It has a demo version that you can try. Text and photos from you current published site can be copied and pasted into Everweb to help the migration over.
There are other possible candidates. Just search the iWeb forum for "iWeb alternative" or "iWeb replacement" to get a list of topics discussing them.

Dec 29, 2014 1:11 AM in response to ShabaniRRby Ethmoid,If you want to import your site - iWeb cannot do this, so you'll need to use a programme that can such as Flux V which has an import facility. It is either this or something like DreamWeaver or an html editor.
