Video not showing up in iTunes, but visible when sharing?

Hey folks,

My specs are as follows: iMac 24", Mac OS X 10.7.2, iMovie 9.0.4, iTunes 10.5.2.

I have this video I created in iMovie. I finalized, and then exported a copy using "Movie to AppleTV" settings. This should create a file that can be imported into iTunes and watched on the AppleTV, so I then drag the file I created into iTunes. It imports it into the library, taking about 15 seconds (it's a 600mb movie, so not unexpected).

Then, nothing. It's not visible anywhere in iTunes. No warnings or anything - it's like nothing ever happened. However, I can go look in the iTunes Media folder and see it in there so I know it was coped succesfully. And even stranger, I can connect to the shared iTunes library on my MacBook Pro laptop and see the movie in the list. So it's like it's just not showing up in iTunes on my desktop.

I've been using Macs and iTunes since 2006 and I've never encountered anything quite like this before. Anyone ever seen anything like this? Any ideas?

Just wanted to say I solved this problem. In case anyone else comes looking for it, the solution is to rebuild your iTunes library.

The only downside was that this left about 50 TV shows incorrectly classified as movies. But that was easy enough to fix.
