Safari has completely disappeared from my MacBook pro! How do I get it back?

if you have any other browsers, open one and use it to redownload safari.
I just downloaded the opera browser and will try your idea. Thanks.
Before doing that, how about using Spotlight to find it, just in case it got moved to some obscure Library folder.
Already tried that. I think I am able to download it now. Thanks for all your help.
