Q: Apple Works slowed considerably when I changed to Snow Leopard OS

I loaded Snow Leopard to my Tiger machine so it would be compatible with my i-phone, but now Apple Works is VERY slow. Should I reload it? I am afraid to make a bad situation worse.

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

Move to iWork/Pages and apps that are a bit more modern,  code wise.

Rather than reload it, do this:

    Quit AppleWorks.

Go to the Finder, and open a Finder Window.

    Follow this path:

yourname(the house icon) > Documents > AppleWorks User Documents > Starting Points > Recent items

Select and delete all or most of the items in that folder.

(The items are aliases to all of the files you have used 'recently.Deleting the aliases has no effect on the actual files.' Keeping track of them all slows AppleWorks considerably.)
