how do i delete old data from iphone 4s ios 5.0.1. it does not have an option to reset in general category. i bought a new phone for which a wrong sim got used to start with and that has downloaded all info from the wrong iclouds. i want to restart my phone all cleaned up and with only my data.

and my phone does not have this option of Reset within General. !!!!!
In the Settings > General screen, scroll down. Reset is at the bottom.
All iPhone have had this Reset feature since the original in 2007.

Then I would connect the iPhone to iTunes and select restore. When it asks to do a backup, decline, and set the iPhone up as a new device. I have done this with other iPhones. It does not require you to do anything on the iPhone itself.
I've never seen or heard of that. Are you connected to a corporate Exchange account? If so, perhaps it's possible to setup a profile that removes this feature. Delete the Exchange account and see what happens.
If not, plug it into iTunes and Restore it as new, i.e. without your backup. This will wipe it and make it factory fresh. See if the Reset feature is now there.
