27" Intel iMac display problem

I have a 27' iMac about 2 years old with Intel Core i5 running Mac OSX10.6.8. Suddenly the picture on the screen is too big and I have to move it round to see the edges. Changing the resolution doesn't help. Does anyone know how to get the picture to fit?

System Preferences > Universal Access > "Seeing" tab. Turn off Zoom:

"Little fingers" are really good at finding the key combo that invokes Zoom.

With newer mice, it's easy to zoom accidently because holding the control key while doing a scroll gesture also zooms the screen
