Can you import .camrec (Camtasia) files into iMovie?

No. You would need to export the movie from Camtasia in a format the iMovie can import.
Best bets would be to export in a .mov container (export to QuickTime)
using Apple Intermediate Codec
or h.264
When I gave the File Export command within Camtasia, the only option available was to export it into a zip format. Thanks anyway. I learn something valuable everytime someone offers a tip ;-)
Will it export in a format for iPad or iPhone? That should work.
