iPhone weather app not working correctly

I've noticed over the past couple of days that my native iphone app is not working properly when I pull down the drop down menu or open the app itself. It shows the wrong days, temperatures, and times. For example today is Thursday. It shows tomorrow as being Tuesday, at noon it showed the icon for stars, and it showed the temp as 60 degrees in NYC. The current temp is closer to about 30 degrees. Anyone else having this issue? Any ideas?

What troubleshooting have you done with the iPhone. The basic user troubleshooting is to power the iPhone off/on, then a reset, which is holding the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. This has not affect on data. If those don't work, then a restore.

Same trouble here. And lots of people had this problem a few months ago & now again since at least late December. It'll update some cities (Gainesville, FL & Paris, France) but not others (Margate, FL & Pompano Beach, FL). Other times it'll update, but the temps are dead wrong (shows South FL with lows of 32) & the hourly tap-thru info doesn't work. Also, tried typing in major cities like Dallas or Miami & it doesn't find anything. Resetting the phone doesn't help. Too bad you can't just delete the app from the home screen. Using eWeatherHD and TWC Max instead.

You can try to troubleshoot this by first double tapping on the home button and then finding the Weather app, swipe upwards on the thumbnail to force close the app. Then you can do a reset on the phone by holding down the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone will reboot. Open the weather app again and see what happens. Remember the weather app gets its data from Yahoo, and they are famous for problems with data, including their mail, so it very well could be a problem with that. Make sure you have data turned on for the weather app in Settings too.

When I upgraded to iOS8, all cities showed the exact same weather data. Force quitting and rebooting did not solve it. I removed and then added back the cities within the App. This worked, and now they are updating correctly. (A couple of international city names now display differently even though they are the same/correct location. A Yahoo quirk?)

Upgraded my iPhone from 4 to 6 and the transferred the data... noticed that my new weather app (native "The Weather Channel") cities transferred over but the temperatures would not display or would display all the same incorrect temp. 😠

I had no problems when it was the native Yahoo weather app on my iPhone 4.

On my new iPhone 6 I tried location service, rebooting, etc. ... nothing worked.

I finally deleted all the cities and then entered them back in... now it works fine... hope this helps. 🙂
