Creative T12 Bluetooth Wireless Speakers Causing Kernel Panic?

BackgroundI just purchased these speakers (on a whim, I admit) without reading reviews because they were apparently just released. Although, I did read the positive reviews of the same speakers without Bluetooth technology, and I was pleased. I received them and was a bit startled by the haphazard packaging and the strange, seemingly foreign, instructions that were a bit... uninformative. Then I hooked them up...ProblemThey seemed to work just fine when I paired them up with my computer. I used them with my iPhone and they worked perfectly too. I had been using a Bluetooth mouse at the same time I was using the speakers with my MacBook Pro and it was fine. But when I unpaired them and paired them again, my MacBook Pro gave me a kernel panic. I didn&#x27;t know what that even was at the time and I had to call AppleCare twice and have them help me out. Before the second time I called, I realized the kernel panic must have been caused by the Bluetooth in the speakers because I watched the system try to pair with them and received a kernel panic. My computer (which I am using) has been fine since the last kernel panic and I haven&#x27;t tried to pair them since. I&#x27;m going to return these stylish, high quality speakers no matter what because I just don&#x27;t feel right about them. However, I wanted to see if anyone was experiencing the same problem so we could crack down on it. Thank you for posting. Any information or input may help.

If you&#x27;re able to boot, launch the Console application by entering the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search, and select the most recent panic log under "System Diagnostic Reports." Post the contents -- the text, please, not a screenshot. For privacy’s sake, I suggest you edit out the “Anonymous UUID” and "Kernel UUID," two long strings of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header and body of the report. Please don&#x27;t post "shutdownStall" or "hang" reports.

Uninstall the "ControllerMate" software completely using the uninstallation tool provided by the developer, or otherwise by following the developer&#x27;s instructions. Reboot and try the pairing again. If it still doesn&#x27;t work, you can reinstall the software and try reinstalling Lion, though that probably won&#x27;t help. You may have triggered a bug.

What I mean is that the ControllerMate software may be causing the panic. You can find that out by uninstalling it. If the panic stops, you&#x27;re done.If you still get the panic after removing that software, then it&#x27;s caused either by a corrupt OS installation, a bug, or a hardware fault. You can eliminate the corrupt installation as a possibility by reinstalling. Of the remaining possibilities, a bug seems to me more likely, but I can&#x27;t be certain.

Well I paired the speakers again and it seems to work fine. On the other hand, they did work for a while previously before the panic so we&#x27;ll see. Is there any way I could test it so I can make sure the panic won&#x27;t reoccur or is that impossible? I really don&#x27;t want to see that error message again.

The ControllerMate drivers are still installed. The only way to remove them is to use the uninstallation tool provided by the developer, or otherwise to follow the developer&#x27;s instructions. Until you do that, you won&#x27;t know whether they&#x27;re causing the panic.

I am having the same problem, I was just using iTunes (only application open) with my Creative T12&#x27;s and my iMac 27" Kernel panicked. This happened 3 more times that day. One time it didn&#x27;t kernel panic but it shut off all my bluetooth devices. I do not have ControllerMate installed either.Any suggestions?

i have same speakers about 2 months, and today i got kernel panic for the first time, first time it was about mouse and then about speakers in 30 minsi reset smc and delete all bluetooth settings, then i reset speakers memory , now it&#x27;s look okbut after restart or shutdown speakers wont connect again, i&#x27;am working on solution right now
