My audio is peaking but it is still quiet?

Hey all,

I'm editing a short video on my Final Cut 7 running on a MacBook Pro. I have a music track from VideoCopilot's Pro Scores, but I have a problem. The audio seems really quiet, but even at it's default 0 dB, the audio is still cliping slightly. If I try to increase to 2 or 4 dB, then the audio REALLY peaks, but i can still barely hear it, and this is with the volume close to full on my macbook pro.

Does anyone possible know why this is? The Pro Score's are all in .wav format.

Do other audio sources sound correct and play at the correct volume?

If so, try muting one channel of the music, so that only one channel is playing, is it still low volume?

The only 2 audio sources playing are 2 tracks that make up the score from pro scores. I attached a screenshot, showing the peaking and the waveform and volume on the computer. The other audio track is muted, it is so hard to hear the track, even with it boosted to 5dB, but i don't feel like that should be happening.

and if you play other portions of audio that is not from that source, everything sounds/works normally?

You have isolated the problem to these music clips, and they do not work correctly both in the viewer and on the timeline?
