How do I get my Dell V715 printer to work on my mac?

what operating system are you using and what issues are you having when trying to set up the printer?

I just bought a macbook pro OS X Lion and I can't install a driver for my dell v715w printer. They don't make one for macs I guess
This is strange. It lists Windows as the only supported operating system, but does not list OS X. it is not compatible with Macs. Return it and get one compatible with Macs and 10.7
I got it to work. I found out Dell is same as Lexmark. Then I found out my v715W is the same as the Lexmark 705. So I downloaded driver for lexmark and it works on my dell. Lucky day!!

This solution seems to be working for me as well.
Also switched to using the Apple supplied "Image Capture Application" rather than the Dell All In One Scanner application in order to conduct wireless scanning. This seems to be working now also.
Note that for me, I had already installed the Dell drivers under OS 10.6, so they were present when I moved to 10.7. However, they just didn't work worth anything under 10.7. Sure, printing might work wirelessly, but scanning never did.
Was looking for a solution to this issue before my wife's new MacBook Pro 13" arrives with 10.7 on it. I think this Lexmark printer driver will work great on that system.
