Q: TV Third Template in LiveType Issue

In the program Live Type 2.1.3, the template TV Third wont let me swap their sample thumbnail video of a bicycle.  I initially tried to right click that filenamed “Wirebike.mp4” and select the “Reconnect Media” to then chose my custom video file.

My file appears in the mille of the canvas screen but notwhere the wirebike video apears.

I however was successful in replacing the media file in a simular template named “Logo Third”

Thank you in advance as this template would be a great asset in doing business logo implication to my corporate videos.

It should work using the Reconnect function -although the size and position might be off, depending what you are using.

Try deleting the track and then use the File > Replace function. The new element will appear as the top layer.

Move it to layer three, starting at 1.00.

All that layer has is a resize and position to fit the little TV and the standard FadeIn effect at the start.

    Easy to rebuild manually.

Thank you Nick.  Yes,I have had success using the Reconnect functions although the size and positionwas off.  I was saddened that the (rightclick- Reconect media) function didn’t work as it does in FCP.  I thought the motion and movement would bepreserved but applied to the new file.

I tried to follow the instructions in your second paragraphbut couldn’t find   “Replace functions”

Thank you again for your help here.
