Can I use airport express USB to charge my iPhone and iPad?

I use the USB-port on an Airport Extreme to charge my iPhone 6 over night. Works like a charm. Not sure about the Express though.

I can't say for certain but I would think it is highly unlikely as the AE USB will provide insufficient power.

I just tried it with my express and iphone and it didn't work.

If you try this....there is no harm....you will find that it first appears as if the iPhone and/or iPad are charging. But, within a minute or two, the "charging" 'icon on the device will change to the "plugged in" icon, which means that the Express is supplying some power to the device, but not enough to "charge" it.
