Hi,

Itunes keeps flagging that there was 'an error storing your authorisation information on this computer, the required directory was not found or has a permissions error.Correct this permissions problem and try again, or deauthorize this computer if the permissions cannot be changed'.

I have just updated iphone software so am now unable to get any apps, music, videos on to my phone.

Having looked for Mac support I have tried a few things as this seems quite a common problem.

Disk Utility/Reparing Permissions - complete, and nothing flagged in itunes

Utilies/Terminal/ - have tried entering 'sudo chmod etc' but won't seem to let me enter a password at the end

Have looked for shared folder SC but can't find it so this can't be the problem

I am on Mac Book Pro 10.5.8.

Any other suggestions really appreciated.

Thanks

This does not repair permissions in users folders.

Utilies/Terminal/ - have tried entering 'sudo chmod etc' but won't seem to let me enter a password at the end

Nothing is displayed in Terminal when typing passord for security purposes.

Have looked for shared folder SC but can't find it so this can't be the problem

It is a hidden folder.

See Remove the SC Info folder here -> http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1389
