24-inch LED Cinema Display 1/3 screen flickering...

Hi there,

I have a 24-inch LED Cinema Display and if you chop the screen into horizontal 1/3's the last 1/3 of the screen will flicker, and go to black. Not the entire screen, just the far right 1/3. Now I don't think it's under warranty, and I think I forgot to buy AppleCare.

Any ideas on the problems? Could it be my 13" MacBook mini-display port causing the issues (it's under warranty until August '12)

Any help would be appreciated.

Also, if I have to replace the 24-inch LED Cinema Display, what are my non-apple alternatives?
